Paying in euros you pay 25% on booking and 75% 4 weeks before, but if you prefer to be sure how much your holiday is going to cost you you can pay in £'s.
However, if paying in £'s we ask that the full amount is paid with one cheque on booking.

Collagraphy and stitch for Textile Artists
A new course looking at different methods of creating collagraphy plates, and different methods for printing them on paper and textile surfaces. We also look at how to use this with your textile and embroidery work.

Paper for Embroidery and Textile Art
An exciting course all about paper in relation to embroidered ot textile lead surfaces. We look at different ways of creating paper in with animal and vegetable fibres. Paper and embroidery. Collagraphy and printing for paper manipulation and fabric and paper printing with embrodiery. Some of the methods will surprise you (how to make strawberry paper) , some of the techniques you will really love

Times: Sunday afternoon/early evening arrival for evening meal, Monday morning start. Course from 9.30 to 5.30 every day. Saturday morning departure after breakfast. The studio may be open all hours for students wishing to work longer hours.
Silk and lace
— a contemporary approach.
Two materials that I use a
lot in my work and in many different ways. We will look firstly at the ways in
which silk fibres can be used in paper, “felt”, embellishing and with water
soluble fabrics. Experiments with lace on water soluble, with paint and
collagraphy will follow on. Using the two materials together to make a textile
surface will be the culmination of the experiments. You are
encouraged to bring your own old laces if you have some. Intermediate and advanced

Surfaces and techniques.
Experiment with ways of creating and incorporating interesting surfaces into your work. We investigae plastic, polyester, nylon, tyvek, lutradur, bondaweb, heating techniques, felts and and metals and using the embellisher. These surfaces will then inspire responses in embroidery by hand or machine. A refresher on all thoses techniques as well as a good look at how to make them useful in your work.

Windows and Doors.
An exploration with paint, stitch, papers and fabric, looking at this popular theme and ways to interpret it. Working from photographs taken from a marvelous collection of windows and doors from a walk around Luçon on our first morning, we will work from the photographs with sampling. By the end of the week you will have produced an original embroidery based on a local door or window using techniques with fibres and silk paper, or lutradur and heating techniques with hand or machine stitching. A good course for beginners (or beginners in design) who would like to branch out.

the basic do's and don'ts for successful stitching and embellishing on existing clothes. Innovative ideas to revamp or reuse old or boring garments. Including lace, openwork, embellishing and appliqué.
